This is a good example showing that oversized cargo is not always heavy. During inland transportation, specialized lowboy trailers were used because the equipment height exceeded 4 meters, requiring special permits for transport across the USA, Europe, and Ukraine. Delivery was completed in full compliance with all client requirements, including customs clearance.

Cargo No. 2 — seemingly simple

It had standard dimensions. However, an oil leak was detected at the port of origin because the equipment was used (despite prior confirmation from the sender regarding technical fluids in the cargo). Consequently, the port refused to accept the cargo. We promptly notified the client and initiated a search for a contractor capable of resolving the issue. After reaching out to over 20 companies, we found an optimal solution, agreed on it with the client, rectified the oil leak, and the cargo was accepted without delay.

Conclusion:

Every project is unique, especially when transporting used equipment. Even seemingly simple cargoes can present major challenges.

Therefore, we always double-check all cargo data to prevent delays at every stage of delivery. We pay special attention to used cargo in the USA and Canada, as it is a key factor in multimodal transport—from selecting the right vehicle and obtaining permits to accounting for specific cargo characteristics to prevent unexpected costs.

Result:

The equipment was delivered to Ukraine on time, undamaged, and without delay, in full compliance with all cargo transport requirements.
