About the project
International transport of oversized cargo between the USA and Ukraine is a complex logistics operation: permits in every transit country, route approvals with government authorities, surveyors in the ports of departure and arrival to inspect cargo securing, and coordination with ports on handling oversized loads. Every stage demands precision, experience and coordinated communication.
This project confirmed our expertise in moving complex and heavy cargo. We delivered oversized equipment from the USA to Ukraine on schedule and without a single complication.
Challenges and solutions
During preparation it turned out there was no crane at the loading site capable of lifting cargo of this weight. The options offered by partners were not cost-effective for the client. We quickly negotiated with crane companies near the loading location and found the best solution in terms of price and technical capability. Loading was completed on time and without delays.
Another challenge was the lack of accurate weight data, as the equipment was used. The shipper provided only approximate figures, which created risks for transport and permits. We initiated a check with the manufacturer and found the actual weight was 10 tonnes more than the seller had stated. After loading, the weight was confirmed again. This helped avoid potential fines, document rework and extra costs.
Result
The equipment was delivered to Ukraine on time, undamaged and without delays, in full compliance with oversized-cargo transport requirements.
This case shows our approach: full control of the logistics process, quick resolution of non-standard issues and accountability for the result at every stage.
