About the project
We arranged the international shipment of a specialised semi-trailer from the USA to Ukraine with full logistics support — from pickup at the seller to customs clearance and delivery to the destination.
Shipment organisation
Within the project we provided the full range of services:
- coordinating pickup and collecting technical information from the shipper
- selecting a specialised truck for transport
- calculating the optimal route to Ukraine
- transit documentation and customs clearance
- arranging loading onto the vessel and onward delivery
Challenges and solutions
After receiving detailed information from the seller, we discovered the trailer had damaged wheels. We agreed the replacement with the client, arranged installation of new wheels and only then started transport.
In addition, following our standard procedure, the used cargo was check-weighed at pickup. The weighing showed the trailer was actually 7 tonnes heavier than the shipper had declared. Detecting this discrepancy early allowed us to adjust the transport parameters, avoid problems during vessel loading and prevent possible delays at customs clearance in Ukraine.
Result
The semi-trailer was delivered to Ukraine on time, undamaged and without delays, with full attention to the client’s requirements and wishes.
This case shows our approach to moving machinery: thorough inspection of the technical condition and cargo parameters, proactive resolution of potential issues and full control of the logistics process at every stage.
